Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Informational Meeting & Open House
We have had an amazing first year of Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) in Cooperstown, and we are excited to begin planning for fall 2026 – our second year offering this program. To be eligible for the UPK program, children must reside within the Cooperstown Central School District and turn 4 years old on or before December 1, 2026.
As required by the New York State Department of Education, enrollment in the UPK program will be determined by lottery. The district will open one classroom, with a maximum enrollment of 18 students.
We recognize that starting school is a major milestone for both children and families. To support a smooth and joyful transition, we invite you to an Informational Meeting and Open House on:
Date: Thursday, March 19, 2026
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Location: Cooperstown Elementary School Library
At this event, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the UPK program, meet staff, and ask questions.
More information about how to apply for the UPK program and how the UPK lottery process works can be found on our UPK & Kindergarten Registration page: https://ces.cooperstowncs.org/pre-k
