First Graders Sign, Sing and Shine in Special Collaboration With ASL Class

A Lesson in Perseverance on Display at Community Gathering

First Graders Partner with ASL Class for Community Gathering Presentation

On Friday, the first grade and high school American Sign Language class collaborated on a song and presented it at our Elementary School Community Gathering.

The high school ASL class was able to send the first graders videos of the signs they needed to learn for the song, and then they all met in person multiple times as they prepared for Friday's performance.

This was all in an effort to work on the first graders' character trait for April: perseverance. While it was difficult to learn these signs, the Community Gathering performance was a huge success, and everyone involved should be very proud of their hard work!
